Changdeokgung Palace

Next we went to Changdeokhung palace. The palace was built in 1405, but the last royal family member lived in the palace until her death in 1989. If you see in in person...this is insane that someone lived there this recently.

We took a guided tour for this palace and frankly the guide was terrifying! It was us, two young girls, and a family. The family joined us a little late due to the fact that they do not tell you specifically where to meet the tour! We were sorta standing around when we met the two girls so us 4 stuck next to each other and the guide suddenly walks up and starts talking and another girl runs up to ask if it's the English guided tour. Our guide was non too pleased that she had to wait for 30 seconds for the rest of the family to join us. This continued for the remainder of the tour. If we were more than about 10 ft. away from her we heard about it. She also shared several snarky comments about the amount of pictures we wanted to take. About halfway through the tour we were close to the offices and she decided she wanted to exchange her microphone. At that point we all started running in circles yelling "pictures! pictures" while exchanging cameras and taking photos for each other's groups. It was actually quite hilarious.
