Happy 9 months Simon!

For some reason the time between Simon's 8 and 9 month milestones went fast! It may have been all the update drama.  But Happy 9 months to Simon!  I am excited about today because I know that Simon went to the agency for another check-up and pictures!!  Now begins my obsessive wait for them to arrive.  I guess they DHL them.    I am also apprehensive because everyone I know that is also waiting to travel has received 9 month pictures and their babies all look completely different!  I don't know what to expect.

You may be shocked that we are sending our second care package! Yes, we technically can only send 2 care packages, but I've learned that we will be able to send Simon more gifts in the future.  More on that later...

Care Package 2.0

Here is a list of items we sent:

• New outfit for our growing boy
• Two onesies
• Touch and Feel Puppy book (Because maybe Simon will love the book and then love dogs and thus love Gretzky.  Makes sense right?)
• Disposable cameras
• 3 pairs of socks
• Sleeptime Giraffe (and extra batteries).  It makes different "soothing" sounds that are supposed to help with sleep.  Simon seems to be a good sleeper, but we thought if this was something that he happened to bond with and it helped him to relax and sleep and we can take it home on the airplane with us then it's worth a shot! Frankly, I kinda miss sleeping with it.  

We had a last minute addition and I didn't dare pull the package apart to take a new picture so it got stuffed in.

Steve has been planning to make a CD of songs for Simon instead of the typical lullabies. Then he discovered "Rockabye Baby!" and he wanted to send a CD for him.  Here is the playlist he created:
