Court Update

We received new pictures of Archie this week and he seems to be getting cuter. each. week. ARG!

We also found out that we have been assigned to the new judge. Currently there are 2 judges working adoption cases in Korea. They do both domestic and international adoptions. The other judge has been working in adoption for awhile but has the reputation of being the "slow judge". I was almost leaning towards being assigned to that judge since he has been doing adoption cases and is familiar with the process and we'd just know that things are a little slower with him. Also, he has a reputation of being supportive of adoption and very pleasant with families so I just figured it'd possibly be a longer wait but we would know what we were in for. CURVEBALL- new judge :) Which is fine and right now I'm still holding out hope that we could have a court date sometime in June. We just do not know how our judge is going to run her court and the group before us has not yet been assigned court dates so once they are we can at least have a better estimate. In the past, there were 4 judges doing adoption cases but they also had other assignments so with the two judges they are no ONLY doing adoption in the hopes that it becomes more familiar and they are able to process things quicker. We shall see! Grateful that Arch continues to be happy and loved.
