Word Wednesday

We got additional info from the Sim-ster's last appointment today! Another developmental checklist that doesn't tell us a ton about what he does in addition to it but its nice to know he's meeting the minimum requirements:) For example, the box "builds tower using three cubes" is checked. Maybe he stacks 5 cubes? Who knows, he could be building small condominiums. Here is what else Simon is up to when he's not busy shooting pucks or modeling hats.

Walks upstairs holding rail...check
Throws ball forward...check
Moves on ride on toys without pedals...check
Puts tiny objects into a container...check
Scribbles spontaneously...check
Brings objects from another room on request...check
Turns 2 or 3 pages at a time...check
Identifies one body part...check
Vocalizes wishes and needs at the table...check
Uses voice in conjunction with pointing...check
Jabbers at play...check
Imitates doing housework and other realistic activities...check (can I get him to do real housework?)
Enjoys imitating adult behaviors...check
Shows toy preference...check
Displays independent behavior...check

  1. He is Korean. There is a very good chance he is already builing condos, racing marathons and ruling the school. Very much an overachiever!
